Air Requirements: The Portamatic is the only tool on the market designed to both angle and face nail. Due to this unique feature the Portamatic requires more air volume than your typical pneumatic nailer. For best performance a compressor which can deliver 5 CFM @ 100psi is recommended.
5/8" (15mm-17mm) Bamboo Flooring options: PNI has identified multiple dimensional profiles of Bamboo Flooring Products produced in Asia. The PNI # 50230 15mm-17mm Metric Bamboo Shoe has been designed to work in these flooring applications. We have tested a number of these Asian floors with our 421 Portamatic and 50230 shoe and find the placement of the nail to be well within the Industry Standards.
